  1. Introduction

Ometta Softworks Oy (“we“, “us“, “our“, or “Company“) operates the Urajärven Kartanomuseo mobile application (the “App“). This Privacy Policy explains how our App collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our App. This Policy applies to all users of our App, regardless of their age, as the App is designed to be safe for all age groups.

Data Controller Information:

  • Company: Ometta Softworks Oy
  • Address: Kankaansyrjäntie 7, 17130 Vesivehma, Finland

  1. Information We Collect

2.1 Data Collected Directly by Our App

Our App does not collect any personal data from you. We do not collect, store, or process:

  • Names
  • Email addresses
  • Telephone numbers
  • Postal addresses
  • Identification numbers
  • Financial information
  • Location data
  • Browsing history
  • Device identifiers
  • IP addresses
  • Any other personally identifiable information

2.2 Data Collected by Third-Party Platforms

The only data collection that occurs is performed automatically by third-party app distribution platforms and is not collected or accessed by us:

Apple App Store:

  • Apple automatically collects and processes certain analytics and metadata about app usage and downloads through the App Store Connect platform.
  • This data is collected, stored, and controlled solely by Apple Inc. according to their Privacy Policy.
  • We have no access to this data.

Google Play Store:

  • Google automatically collects and processes certain analytics and metadata about app usage and downloads through Google Play Console.
  • This data is collected, stored, and controlled solely by Google LLC according to their Privacy Policy.
  • We have no access to this data.

For information about how Apple and Google handle data, please review their respective privacy policies.

2.3 Camera Permission

The App requests optional camera permission to enable access to web-based augmented reality (AR) solutions hosted on the museum’s website.

Important: The App itself does not access, use, record, or process any camera data. The camera functionality is solely controlled by the external web-based AR solution that you voluntarily access through the App. The AR provider’s privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy, not this policy. Both AR providers and App providers do not collect or store any additional data.

  • We do not access your camera
  • We do not record video or images
  • We do not check, monitor, or analyze camera data
  • We do not transmit camera data to our servers

You may revoke camera permission at any time through your device’s settings. Revoking permission will prevent access to the web-based AR features but will not affect other app functionality.

2.4 Internet Connection

The App requires an internet connection to function. This connection is used solely to:

  • Direct you to event links on the museum’s website
  • Connect you to the web-based AR solution
  • These connections are between your device and the external websites/services

We do not monitor, log, or collect data about your internet usage through the App.

  1. Purpose of Processing and Legal Basis

3.1 Limited Data Processing

Because we do not collect personal data, we have no processing purposes or legal bases under GDPR Articles 6 and 9.

3.2 Optional Consent for Camera Access

To the extent that you grant camera permission to access web-based AR features, the legal basis for processing any data by the external AR provider is your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time through your device settings.

  1. Data Security

We maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect any data that may be processed. However, as we do not collect or store personal data, the primary security responsibility lies with:

  • Your device’s operating system (iOS/Android)
  • The external web-based AR solution provider
  • The museum’s website and event systems
  1. Data Retention

As we do not collect personal data, there is no data retention period. Any analytics or metadata collected by Apple App Store or Google Play Store are retained according to their respective policies.

  1. Data Sharing and Third Parties

6.1 No Data Sharing by Us

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any personal data to third parties because we do not collect personal data.

6.2 External Services

The App connects you to:

  • Urajärven Kartanomuseo website – for event links
  • Web-based AR solutions – for augmented reality experiences

These external services are independent and operate under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their data practices. Please review their privacy policies separately.

6.3 Legal Obligations

In the unlikely event we are required by law to disclose information, we would have no personal data to disclose. However, we may disclose information as required by:

  • Court orders
  • Law enforcement requests
  • Other legal requirements

Please review the privacy policies of any external websites before providing personal information.

  1. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). However, as we do not collect personal data, most CCPA provisions do not apply. You have the right to:

  • Know what personal data is collected
  • Delete personal data collected from you
  • Opt-out of the sale of your personal data
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights

Since we do not collect personal data, these rights do not apply to our App.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify users of any material changes by:

  • Updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy
